Enyonam Manye Clinches ‘Agri Journalist Of The Year’ Award

In recognition of her unwavering dedication to promoting agriculture and empowering the youth, Enyonam Manye, the founder of Count on Crops Hub, has been honored with the prestigious ‘Agri Journalist of the Year’ award.

This accomplishment was announced during the third edition of the African Women in Agribusiness Awards held at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra on November 18, 2023.

Enyonam Manye’s passion for fostering a thriving agriculture industry led her to establish Count on Crops Hub, producers of the Ghanaian Farmer TV show broadcast on Joy Prime TV and YouTube. Through her TV and online platform, she educates Ghanaians both at home and abroad about the abundant opportunities within the agricultural sector by engaging farmers and experts in insightful field interviews.

The ‘Agri Journalist of the Year’ award acknowledges Manye’s outstanding contributions over three years as a communications expert. Her engaging content aims to inspire the youth to tap into the vast opportunities presented by agribusiness.

Expressing her gratitude for the prestigious award, Manye stated:

“I am deeply humbled & honored to have received this award. I extend my deepest thanks to the farmers I have engaged so far for allowing me to tell their stories, using the platform to invite more investors and change negative attitudes the youth have about agriculture.”

Manye views this recognition as motivation to achieve a significant milestone where numerous youths, through her platform, can find viable sources of income in the agribusiness sector by investing in agriculture. She reiterated her commitment to promoting excellence in agriculture and thanked her dedicated crew members for their support.

The 2023 African Women in Agribusiness Awards, held under the theme ‘Celebrating Women Blazing the African Agribusiness Trail,’ served as a platform to honor and empower women in the agricultural industry. Organized by Guzakuza, a social enterprise, the event highlighted the achievements and dedication of women overcoming challenges and making substantial impacts in African agribusiness.
