March 26. 2023. Tudu, ACCRA: Today, the largest food festival in Ghana was held at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly under the theme “Back to your village food bazaar”
Organized by Citi-TV, the food bazaar showcased over 50 vendors selling different local and international delicacies and beverages for the enjoyment of thousands of patrons swarming the occasion with their families and friends.
The festival was an opportunity for patrons to show off the latest in African fabric fashions as they danced to the rhythms of traditional drums.
One of the crowning activities for the day was the gari soakings competition where children, women and men alike competed to see who was first to finish a bowl of pudding of gari, sugar, groundnut and milk.
At the end of the festival, the majority of the people present asked that this event must be held at least twice every year.
God has blessed Africa especially my country Ghana with natural resources and foods that are rich and healthy. Let’s celebrate what we have as Ghanians .Eat Ghana,wear Ghana and watch Ghana.
