April 17, 2023: Discovery House, Adabraka ACCRA: Students should let African University College of Communications (AUCC) pass through them, rather than them merely passing through the school. This advice was reiterated by AUCC president Prof. Abeku Blankson this afternoon at the launch of this year’s SRC Week Celebrations held at the school’s Forecourt.

The school’s Students Representative Council held an event to usher in SRC Week 2023 under the theme “beyond the horizon, exploring new frontiers”.

The Forecourt event attracted the schools president, accompanied by AUCC Vice President Dr. Nefertiti Puplampu, the Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Richmond Coleman and members of faculty and administrative staff to join SRC executives and students who gathered to mark the beginning of the one-week celebration.

Unveiling the celebration theme, AUCC DOSA Dr. Coleman congratulated the SRC Executives “for their tireless effort to organize an event such as this in order to impact the lives of students”.

SRC Vice President Prosper Adjei said the week’s activities would include seminars, a career fair, the Face of AUCC Beauty pageant crowning, sports, and competitions.

SRC Women’s Commissioner Gladys Anima Agbanyo added that her office will be organizing ‘The next level woman summit & training’ to empower women on campus.

Students were pleased to be at the successful launch, describing it as “a very memorable one”.

“I cannot wait to participate in the various activities planned for this week”, gushed a L00 student.

“Hope to see you there”, said another.

The event was compered by SRC Welfare Officer Deborah Lariba Diego.
